When Kids Remember, the Nation Remembers
In 2004 a group of students from Princeton High School finished their contribution to a nationwide project to honor the victims of 9/11. The idea began out of a meeting of the National Student Council organization. The project asked high schools to develop a way of commemorating the victims of 9/11.
Wisconsin Terrazzo was approached and we began working with the students to bring their vision to life. The photographs chronicle the undertaking and the end result.
The memorial was unveiled at the Wisconsin state capitol building in Milwaukee. The commemoration was attended by firefighters, police officers and EMS workers. The event honored the fallen with a somber ceremony and dedication.
