This project marked the first renovation of the 1902 church in nearly 50 years. Replacing deteriorated wood floors with terrazzo provided the congregation with not only a 100-year floor but also the desired design. Drawing inspiration from historical documentation and photos, the new interior design honors the church’s history and original decor while appreciably transforming the sanctuary into a radiant, worshipful environment. The terrazzo contractor collaborated with the church team to adjust the color palette for the floor, then translated the artist’s rendering from the basic concept to reproduce the designs in the terrazzo.
